Depending on how long your floor has been soaked, there are two methods of “Flooding Recovery” :

  • Less than 4 hours –
    • after 2 to 4 weeks later, dependent on wood thickness, width and type, your floor may incur blackening or darkening of edges/joints between pieces, tenting up or wavy, or sound hollow. These are some of the symptoms you should watch out for. (Recovery Method refer post – Part II)
  • More than 4 hours – 
    • after 2 to 4 weeks, severe warping or cupping occurs. Basically the degree of flood damage has taken a severe turn and become very pronounced. This is seen only weeks later. (Recovery Method refer post – Part II)
